Challenge

 

The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system is one of the main systems needed to improve the environment inside an industrial building. In manufacturing, environmental conditions are key to improving employee productivity. An employee working in good conditions (temperature and humidity) can reach the production target effortlessly. As a technology company, Transom was responsible for automating the ventilation system inside the warehouse in the assembly area, where the vehicles are in the final stage of manufacturing.

 

Solution

The supply, installation, and commissioning of the electrical power system, including transformers and a power plant, conduit, commissioning of 1 MDF and 4 IDFs with the suppression system, 600 network nodes, 54 IP cameras, 14 access controls, 4 vehicle controls, a fire detection system, and payroll system software and hardware were implemented in 2 plants in San Luis Potosí.

Results

 

The tangible benefits of the solution are the comfort and well-being of the assembly area employees. Thanks to the development of this project and the improvements made, there are plans to replicate this type of automation system throughout the rest of the plant.
